How we write our guides

Sovune's guides are written by the Sovune team in Melbourne. We make the Sovune Nudge, a silent vibrating alarm wristband, so we're not neutral, and we say so in every guide that mentions it. Here's how we write them, and what you can expect.

Where our information comes from

For anything about sleep or health we rely on Australian public sources first, such as the Sleep Health Foundation, healthdirect and the Better Health Channel, and link to them in the text. For how-to steps on other devices (phones, smartwatches, fitness bands), we use the manufacturer's own support pages. When something can't be confirmed, we say so rather than guess.

What we will and won't claim

  • We only describe the Nudge with facts we've confirmed on the product we sell: it vibrates in three rising levels over about a minute, makes no sound, holds three alarms, lasts up to 14 days per charge and charges by built-in USB.
  • We don't make medical claims. Our guides aren't a substitute for advice from your GP or a sleep specialist, and we point you to them when that's the right step.
  • The Nudge is a wake-up alarm, not a smoke alarm or safety device.
  • We don't accept payment from other brands to appear in our guides, and we don't publish made-up reviews or testimonials.

Keeping guides up to date

Each guide shows when it was last updated. When product details or advice change, we revise the guide. If you spot something wrong or out of date, email info@sovune.com.au and we'll check it and fix it.
